A three alarm fire broke out in Harlem Friday night, injuring three firefighters battling the blaze that started at a fried chicken joint, authorities said.
The flames ignited shortly after 7:00 p.m. at Mama’s Fried Chicken at West 155th Street and Frederick Douglass Boulevard where a grease fire spread through heating ducts in the two-story building.
Over 100 firefighters had the inferno– that jumped to adjacent buildings– under control by 10:00 p.m.
Three firefighters were taken to New York Presbyterian Hospital and treated for smoke inhalation, authorities said.
