Interior of mushroom labThree men were busted in Brooklyn on Friday for running a massive psychedelic-mushroom growing operation — with plants worth nearly $2 million, authorities announced.
Authorities discovered 250 pounds of psilocybin mushroom plants inside two Sheepshead Bay homes they raided. They also found between $30,000 and $100,000 in cash, more than 300 gift cards and bank records in one of the houses, the Brooklyn District Attorney’s Office said.
The suspects were identified as Vitali Yaromin, 50; Nikita Medvedev, 26; and Maksym Lyushnenko, 47. They were charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance in the second and third degree, and criminally using drug paraphernalia.
