The three-man crew of a tugboat were rescued this morning after the vessel overturned off the waters of Liberty Island, authorities said.
The tugboat, identified as the Katherine G., and the barge it was pulling capsized in New York Harbor just after 9:45 a.m. near the Statue of Liberty, the Coast Guard said.
The men were rescued a short time later by the NYPD Harbor unit.
All three were uninjured.
The cause of the accident remains under investigation.
