Three Brooklyn sanitation workers were jumped and maced by a pack of thugs who flew into a rage that they could not drive around their garbage truck, police said.
The attack on the uniformed workers – a 29-year-old woman, 31-year-old man, and 40-year-old man – occurred around 10:30 p.m. Thursday at Thomas Boyland Street and St. Marks Avenue in Bedford-Stuyvesant, cops said.
The sanitation workers had parked their truck on St. Marks Avenue temporarily while they picked up garbage in the area. A sedan pulled up behind them, and the occupants inside demanded that the workers move the truck, sources said.
When the workers told them to wait, a 30-year-old woman identified as Charisma Daly hopped out of the car and maced all three city workers, according to police sources.
Daly then struck the female sanitation worker and the 31-year-old employee with a paint can in their heads, sources said.
Then four more hooligans joined in on the attack, beating on the sanitation workers, sources said.
The 29-year-old worker suffered pain and bruising to her head, 31-year-old sustained a broken nose and the 40-year-old had pain to his eyes due to the mace, according to sources.
Emergency responders took all three victims to New York-Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital in stable condition.
Daly was busted on second-degree assault charges, police said.
Teadre George, 20, and Ikee Ratliff, 23, were also charged with assault for the attack, cops said.
The other two suspects are still at large.
