A Long Island businessman has pleaded not guilty to charges that he failed to turn over to the state or to Suffolk County more than $1 million in sales tax collected at his five tile stores.

Frank Procida is charged with grand larceny and filing false documents. Procida Tile took in $1.1 million in sales tax from 2003 to last February and kept it, said DA Thomas Spota.
