While cops tried to take a bite out of crime at a Brooklyn homicide scene yesterday, they wound up taking into custody a man who showed up to look for his teeth.

The toothless man — who was also missing a piece of his bloodied ear — was spotted by detectives scouring the scene for his pearly whites with a friend in tow, cops said.

Investigators picked up the gummy Van Gogh yesterday afternoon in front of Club La Parranda, a Mexican bar and grill on 86th Street, where an unidentified 25-year-old Hispanic man was stabbed to death at 4:30 a.m, cops said.

While cops were interested in what the toothless man might know about the homicide, the other tooth sleuth was not taken in.

Police responded to a call in the wee hours of a man stabbed twice in the neck in front of the club, authorities said. The victim was pronounced dead on arrival at Lutheran Medical Center.
