A toddler died Monday morning after falling from a sixth-floor apartment window in Brooklyn, police said.

The incident happened at around 11 a.m. at 760 Eldert Lane in East New York.

Cops said they found Lareese Williams Jr., 2, lying in a courtyard at the apartment complex but were unsure how he fell.

The child was taken to Brookdale Hospital, where he died, police said.

Police officials said they believe the death was an accident, and have not filed charges against the parents, who were both home at the time.

The family had no known interactions with the city’s Administration for Children’s Services, and cops have never been called there for a domestic incident, police sources said.

There were no bars on the apartment’s windows — despite a local law requiring building owners to “provide and properly install approved window guards on all windows” in apartments where children 10 or younger are staying.

The City Health Department is investigating the lack of bars.
