Tony Bennett 9/11 shock
He should have left his mouth in San Francisco, too.
Legendary singer Tony Bennett waded into controversy by saying America is to blame for the 9/11 attacks.
Terrorists “flew the plane in [to the World Trade Center], but we caused it . . . because we were bombing them and they told us to stop,” Bennett said Monday on “The Howard Stern Show” on SiriusXM radio.
“But who are the terrorists?” he added referring the Iraq war. “Are we the terrorists or are they the terrorists? Two wrongs don’t make a right.”
Bennett, 85, said his antipathy to war comes from his World War II service.
