A married Queens couple ran a prostitution ring for six years in the Boston area — because New York had too much competition, a source close to the case told The Post.

“They thought the New York market was too saturated with illicit massage parlors so they opened up ‘rub-and-tugs’ in the Boston area,” the source said.

Xiang Hua Zhang, 29, and Hong Wei, 39, allegedly posted ads in various Chinese newspapers and on Craigslist, luring Asian women from New York and other states.

The FBI caught wind of the case after one of the hookers got pinched in a federal matter and spilled her guts to investigators, according to the source.

Zhang recently pleaded guilty to conspiracy and is awaiting sentencing on Oct. 11, according to his attorney, Keith Sullivan.

His wife is discussing a plea agreement with prosecutors, said her lawyer, Tom Kenniff.
