A Queens woman was sentenced to 10 years in prison for shaking her 7-month-old daughter so violently that she died.
Queens District Attorney Richard Brown yesterday announced the sentencing of 21-year-old Nyemah Nickens, of Far Rockaway, who last month pleaded guilty to a charge of manslaughter.
Little Nyla Nickens was repeatedly shaken as she cried on the evening of Sept. 4, 2010, prosecutors said.
Doctors treated her for a brain injury, but she died four days later.
