In an “only in New York” moment, a totaled car in Brooklyn — with its windshield completely blown out and front-end smashed — was apparently slapped with a tell-tale orange ticket for parking too close to a fire hydrant, new video shows.

The silver sedan was parked June 30 when a passerby noticed the parking ticket affixed underneath a windshield wiper of the windshield-less vehicle.

The car’s front bumper was also shorn off and its interior stripped down to its parts.

“Yo, only in New York, will your car blow up and you still park on a fire hydrant and you get a ticket,” said the man who filmed the video, identified by Newsflare as Omar. “Sorry bro, you gotta pay that ticket, man. No free parking, cuz.”

The description of the Newsflare video says the car was parked on Brooklyn Avenue, which is a one-way street, but the street shown in the clip is two-way.

Cops could not provide any information on the incident without more specific information about the location.

The exact location of the video was unclear, or what happened to the vehicle to cause the damage.
