An Israeli tourist was busted Thursday for smashing a former Australian-rules football star in the face with a glass at the celebrity-hangout nightclub Catch Roof in Greenwich Village, cops said.

Daniel Yakubov, 31, bashed Richard Vandenberg, 39, at about 2:30 a.m. Thursday in an argument over a woman, police said.

Yakubov was charged with felony assault.

Vandenberg was the captain of the Hawthorn Football Club in the Australian Football League until his retirement in 2007.

Catch Roof, at 9th Avenue near West 13th Street,has been a party hangout for the likes of Leonardo DiCaprio, Nick Jonas and Naomi Campbell.
