A surgeon from Connecticut was arrested in Florence, Italy, after he clumsily snapped off the pinky finger of a priceless statue of the Virgin Mary, according to a report.
Dr. Patrick Broderick, 56, from New Fairfield, was trying to compare his finger to a marble statue at the Museo dell’Opera del Duomo when he accidentally broke off the digit, the Daily Mail reported.
