A tourist staying at the W Hotel yesterday allegedly threatened to blow up nearby One World Trade Center, The Post has learned.
Brian Hunter, 41, of Bristol, RI, was caught trying to skip out on his bill by hotel staff, who waved over cops assigned to the NYPD’s World Trade Center command, police sources said.
When questioned, Hunter allegedly said, “I’m going to place a bomb in One World Trade Center and blow it up so it will fall over onto another building because I do not approve of it.”
Hunter, a computer programmer, was busted for making terroristic threats, the sources said. Detectives said he is not “a credible threat,” a source said.
