A hit-run driver who mowed down a pedestrian in Harlem last night was apprehended after a tow-truck operator chased the suspect, authorities said.

The hit-run suspect, headed south on Seventh Avenue in a 2000 BMW sedan, allegedly slammed into the victim crossing West 119th Street at around 10:40 p.m.

The critically wounded man was rushed to Harlem Hospital and the tow driver chased the fleeing motorist, sources said.

The BMW crashed at 11 p.m. near Madison Avenue and East 104th Street and the driver was taken into custody.
