Subway snafus led to massive bus lines in Queens on Tuesday.
Signal problems at the Fifth Avenue/59th Street station, a train with mechanical problems at Second Avenue and signal problems at Queens Plaza caused delays on the E, F, N, Q, R, and W lines during the morning commute.
That led to thousands of commuters swarming bus lines in Astoria.

“Yikes! With morning N train service disruptions, the line for the M60 bus from Astoria is wrapped around the block!” tweeted Julie Huntington.
Commuters said it took hours to get to work.
“Line for #M60 bus around corner of #AstoriaBoulevard, since N/W train is down. Woman next to me has waited ONE HOUR for a train, @MTA,” tweeted Jeffrey Cipriano.
New city Transit Authority president Andy Byford said, “There are still far too many delays.
“It’s wrecked people’s commutes, so we’re sorry about that. And we’re looking into what happened.”
