The MTA restored service on the E and F trains on local tracks Sunday morning and the agency expects to have regular service restored by the morning commute Monday, officials said.

The two subway lines normally run express through Queens before making local stops in Manhattan, but Sunday they will be stopping at all local stations in Queens – using the M and R train tracks.

Service was disrupted Friday when a Manhattan-bound F train derailed in Woodside, trapping 1,000 straphangers underground and making a complete mess of Queens subway service.

MTA officials said they hope to have the E and F back to their regular routes by 5 a.m on Monday.
