A transgender woman told cops she was assaulted and robbed of her pocketbook on a Manhattan subway New Year’s Day, police sources said.

The 36-year-old woman said her attackers struck while she was riding an E train about 5:17 p.m. They beat her up and took her bag, she told cops, according to sources.

The woman was found unconscious near 23rd Street and Eighth Avenue. She was taken to Bellevue Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Police sources said it doesn’t appear to be a hate crime.
