Trayvon killer’s 204G
The lawyer representing George Zimmerman, the Florida neighborhood-watch member who fatally shot 17-year-old Trevon Martin, said last night he’ll tell a judge today that his client had gotten $204,000 in donations to his defense fund.
The number is significant because Zimmerman is free on $150,000 bond. His family had to put up only 10 percent of that.
The attorney, Mark O’Mara, told CNN that if the judge had known about the contributions before setting bail, he might have chosen a higher figure.
But O’Mara said he was “prepared to deal with any fallout.’’
