A person was fatally hit by a Long Island Rail Road train car in Queens Wednesday night, authorities said.

The person was struck by a westbound Port Washington train near the Bayside station at about 11:30 p.m., officials said.

The person trespassed onto the tracks and was pronounced dead at the scene, said an LIRR spokesman. It’s unclear if this was a suicide or accidental.
