A box-truck burst into flames on the Brooklyn-Queens Expressway early Wednesday, leaving the cargo area totally incinerated.

The truck erupted on the eastbound lanes of the BQE at Cadman Plaza West in Brooklyn at around 3:20 a.m., shutting down the roadway for hours, fire officials said.

Sixty FDNY firefighters from 12 units battled the blaze before bringing it under control at 5:09 a.m., officials said.

There were no reports of injuries and it was not immediately clear how the fire started.

The flames totally tore through the cargo area of the truck, leaving only the frame of the back of the truck intact, photos show.
