TV news reporter Vince DeMentri slapped the Bahamian ambassador’s chauffeur during a rage over a parking spot, authorities said yesterday.

DeMentri, of WPIX/Channel 11, was charged with assault over of his alleged meltdown in Midtown Wednesday afternoon.

Sources said driver Hurley Senanayake, 54, was waiting for the ambassador when DeMentri, 46, confronted him and complained that he had parked in a press zone.

When Senanayake refused to move, DeMentri allegedly slapped him across the face.
