MASSAPEQUA, N.Y. — Fire officials say an early morning house fire has killed two people on Long Island.

Nassau County fire officials say one person and two volunteer firefighters from the Massapequa fire department also were injured.

The fire at the 2-story house was called in at 4:06 a.m. It was brought under control an hour later.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
