Service on the Long Island Rail Road is suspended in both directions between Mineola and Hicksville.

Two work trains collided west of Hicksville Station in Westbury.

There are reports of injuries to several workers. The extent of those injuries is not clear.

The trains collided south of Prospect Ave. and just east of the Wantagh Parkway.

Emergency crews are on the scene assessing the damage to the trains and the tracks.
