Two men were fatally struck by trains in Brooklyn and Manhattan overnight, police said Tuesday.
An unidentified man was lying on the tracks at the Avenue U and East 16th Street station in Sheepshead Bay around 2:40 a.m. when a southbound 2 train pulled into the station, cops said.
The motorman attempted to put on the brakes but was unable to stop, cops said.

Hours earlier, a man in his 30s jumped in front of a moving southbound 1 train at West 79th Street and Broadway on the Upper West Side, cops said.
He was pronounced dead on scene in what cops believe was a suicide, police said.
No criminality was suspected in either incident, authorities said.
