Two men dressed like construction workers robbed a Midtown jewelry shop Saturday in a brazen midday heist, authorities said.
The suspects, who were also wearing yellow helmets, entered Jewelry Patch on 7th Avenue near West 37th Street just after 2:30 p.m., cops said.
One of the men pointed a gun at the clerk, while the other demanded jewelry.
The worker loaded up a bag with jewels and the two thieves ran out of the store. They were last seen heading south on 7th Avenue, cops said.
The daring crime in the heart of Midtown left even investigators stunned.
“It’s amazing, you know? Broad daylight, while customers were still in there,” a law enforcement source said.
No injuries were reported and the suspects are still at large.
