Good riddance!

A pair of notorious killers — one who gunned down a cop and the man who stabbed Kitty Genovese — both died in upstate prisons this week.

Anthony Laborde, 62, a member of the Black Liberation Army who killed Police Officer John Scarangella in 1981, died Sunday at a medical facility while serving time at Five Points Correctional Facility.

“I was taught never to talk ill of the dead,” said Judge Greg Lasak, the prosecutor who got the conviction, “but … case closed.”

Meanwhile, Winston Mosely, who stabbed Genovese to death in 1964 in a murder that famously went ignored by her Kew Gardens neighbors, died in jail last week.

“Two of Queens’ most infamous criminals died in prison during the last week,” Queens District Attorney Richard Brown said.

Officials with the state Department of Corrections and Community Supervision said Laborde, who changed his name to Abdul Majid when he converted to Islam, was transported to SUNY Upstate Medical Center on Wednesday for a medical procedure. He died there at 8:40 a.m. Sunday.

Laborde was serving consecutive sentences of 25 years to life for Scarangella’s murder and eight to 25 years for the attempted murder of his partner, Richard Rainey.

He ambushed the cops in their patrol car in 1981 as they investigated burglaries in St. Albans, Queens.

His official cause of death will be determined and released by the Onondaga County Medical Examiner’s Office, a statement from the state said. The state cited privacy laws when asked about the medical procedure.

Laborde’s family was calling for a full investigation, Brooklyn Assemblyman Charles Barron said.

“We want an investigation — a full and thorough investigation,” Barron said. “They’re only telling us he left the facility on Friday and ended up deceased. We need information. What was his condition? Did something happen at the facility?”
