Two pedestrians were fatally struck on city streets in a pair of separate box-truck crashes on Thursday, police said.

The first fatality occurred about 3:30 p.m. in Sunset Park, Brooklyn when Brendan Gill, 85, was mowed down while standing in the middle of the street near 39th Street and 3rd Avenue, cops said.

He was taken to Lutheran Hospital and pronounced dead. The driver, a 24-year-old man, remained on scene, police said.

At 5 p.m. in Soho, Manhattan, a 26-year-old woman was hit at the intersection of Broadway and Howard, authorities said.

In that instance, the victim was believed to be in the crosswalk when a 43-year-old man behind the wheel of a box truck reversed into her, police said.

She was declared dead on scene.

No criminality was suspected, police said.
