Two people were shot in the Bronx early Monday, cops said, as shootings in the city continue to soar.
A 45-year-old woman was shot once in the chest and the 47-year-old man was shot in the shoulder when gunfire rang out around 3 a.m. near Forest Avenue and Winchester Avenue.
Both were taken to Lincoln Medical Center and were expected to survive.
The violence came at the end of a weekend that saw a rate of one shooting per hour on Saturday — with more gunplay on Sunday.
