Two students were busted for carrying loaded guns in their bookbags at a Staten Island high school Monday, police said.

Cops descended on Curtis High School after a student notified safety agents there that a 16-year-old and 18-year-old were carrying the weapons around 1:20 p.m., authorities said.

Cops arrested both teens at the school, which is located at 105 Hamilton Ave. in St. George.

The younger teen was in possession of a .22 caliber handgun. The older teenager had a .40 caliber handgun. Both were loaded.

It wasn’t immediately clear if the students knew each other or planned to bring the guns to school together, cops said.

They hadn’t been charged as of late afternoon.

Curtis High School does not have metal detectors.
