A collision in East Harlem between a Range Rover and an ambulance left six passengers and a pedestrian seriously injured Friday, authorities said.
The crash happened just before 6 p.m. at Park Avenue and 102nd Street, what officials describe as a notoriously dangerous intersection.
None of the victims — who include the four occupants, all personnel, from the ambulance plus the driver and passenger from the Range Rover — suffered life-threatening injuries, police said.
They were all rushed to Harlem Hospital, where the ambulance had been heading to begin with, police said.
“It’s definitely a problematic intersection,” a law enforcement source said of the block. “We’ve had an issue with pedestrians struck and motor vehicle accidents in this area for quite some time.”
