An elderly woman and her daughter were both found dead Tuesday inside an apartment in Gramercy Park, according to police sources.
Their bodies were discovered at around 4:45 p.m., the sources said.
The 94-year-old woman and her 70-year-old daughter each had health problems and were said to have died of natural causes.
They had both been dead for about a week or two before being found Tuesday inside a residence at the Washington Irving House at 145 East 16th Street, sources said.
One of the other residents in the building notified workers there of a foul smell coming from the apartment and they later entered and saw the women laying on a bedroom floor.
It’s unclear what the they died from or if the pair lived together.
