Uber rallied supporters, including “Sopranos” actress Lorraine Bracco and Mothers Against Drunk Driving, on Wednesday to push for ride-sharing services across New York state.

As of now, Uber operates in New York City under rules of the Taxi & Limousine Commission.

Uber’s backers signed a statement urging lawmakers to pass legislation enabling the ride-share services to expand statewide.
