Kids love apps — but this one could spell the end of playing hooky.
Twenty-six city public schools are deploying a new app to text, e-mail or phone parents immediately when their kids aren’t in class.
Schools Chancellor Carmen Fariña touted the technology Monday at a conference in Washington, DC: “If your child is not in school, you get a buzz.”
The app, called Kinvolved, alerts parents as soon as a teacher swipes a child late or absent in the digital portal.
