A week after one of New York’s most prominent pro-charter-school groups released an ad attacking the United Federation of Teachers, the union took to the airwaves yesterday and blasted its archrivals for “playing politics in Albany.”
The UFT’s ad — released a day after the state Senate passed a bill to raise the cap on charter schools — accuses “the for-profit charter-school crowd” of spending “over a million on false attacks against teachers and public schools.”
