An unlicensed driver caused a fatal four-car crash in The Bronx — and was arrested after ditching his wheels and running away, police said Monday.

Collin Hedley, 24, was driving a BMW in the left lane of Jerome Avenue near East 233rd Street about 8:15 p.m. Sunday, when he crossed over the double-yellow lines — into oncoming traffic — and sideswiped a 2014 Honda SUV being driven by a 70-year-old woman, according to authorities.

Hedley then accelerated south in the northbound lane, where he crashed head on with a 1995 Toyota sedan driven by Bedford Park resident Ramon Monteagudo, 59, who was killed, police said.

The Toyota then veered into the path of a fourth vehicle, a 2013 Honda SUV driven by a 59-year-old woman.

Hedley allegedly abandoned his car and fled, but returned shortly thereafter and was arrested, police said.

He was charged with leaving the scene of an accident resulting in death and criminal possession of a controlled substance, for allegedly being in possession of marijuana and unidentified pills. Hedley also received a violation for driving with a revoked license, police said.

Monteagudo was rushed to Montefiore Medical Center, but could not be saved. None of the other victims was seriously injured.
