Two playwrights who authored dramas about Harvard’s anti-gay “secret court” are headed to an actual court.
Tony Speciale, author of the play “Unnatural Acts,” filed suit yesterday against former collaborator Stan Richardson over his play, “Veritas.” Both works address a secret 1920 tribunal conducted at Harvard to purge the campus of gays.
Speciale’s Manhattan federal-court filing seeks an order declaring “Unnatural Acts” doesn’t infringe on Richardson’s copyright for “Veritas” and naming Speciale as a co-author.
The suit says Speciale and Richardson collaborated on “Veritas” until they had a “falling out.”
