FORT LEE, N.J. — The upper level of the George Washington Bridge into New York City has reopened to traffic nearly four hours after a multi-vehicle wreck

However, motorists can expect major delays throughout the morning rush.

Port Authority spokesman Ron Marsico (MAR’-see-coh) says the inbound lanes were closed following a crash involving seven tractor-trailers and a car under the apartments at 3:15 a.m. Monday.

Marsico says there was one minor injury.

Workers had to clean up fuel and antifreeze from the bridge deck before reopening the upper level around 7:07 a.m.

The cause of the crash is under investigation.
