Best to take the subway on Sunday, Upper West Siders.

Three of the neighborhood’s six main thoroughfares will be simultaneously closed due to a fiesta and political rally.

The People’s Climate March will shut down Central Park West from 59th to 86th streets, and the east lane of Amsterdam Avenue between 72nd and 86th, as well as streets in Midtown.

The Columbus Avenue Festival will close that main drag between 66th and 86th streets.

City Councilwoman Helen Rosenthal warned locals of traffic congestion between 7 a.m. and 7:30 p.m.

Some West Siders are fuming over the expected gridlock.

“To close down half of the West Side on one day is going to create a crisis,” said Adam Finerman, 49, who lives at 65th and Central Park West.

“To me, it is a sign of incompetence at City Hall and demonstrates a lack of understanding of how to manage the city,” he said.

When asked about the inconvenience to residents, Rosenthal said she was “concerned” about the closures but confident that the NYPD would be able to manage them.
