An Upstate woman was killed as she tried to wave off traffic after her car spun out on a Bronx highway, police said.
Marcia Clarke-Hinton, 50, was rushed to Jacobi Hospital and died of severe head trauma.
Sources said Clarke-Hinton and her daughter, who was driving, hit a patch of black ice on the Hutchinson River Parkway, near the Bruckner Expressway around 9:40 p.m.
When Clarke-Hinton got out of the Nissan Pathfinder to steer traffic away, she was hit by another car.
The 52 year-old driver remained on the scene and no criminality is suspected.
Clarke-Hinton’s daughter wasn’t injured in the accident.
