A homeless man trying to stay warm set a fire in a Manhattan apartment building, filling a hallway with smoke, cops said.

Timothy Praulch, 35, set paper on fire as he lay in the vestibule of 365 Third Ave. in Kips Bay at about 9 p.m. Sunday, according to witnesses and police.

He was charged with trespassing.
