Three vagrants armed with knives and a tire iron got into a brawl near the Port Authority in Midtown on Monday night, leading to all three of them being injured and arrested, police said.

The melee kicked off at about 9:15 p.m. when the three homeless men got into an argument near 42nd Street and Eighth Avenue, police and witnesses said.

Two of the vagrants then teamed up to rough up the third one, cops said.

All three of suspects were armed with various weapons, cops said, including a knife, a tire iron and a stick.

When police responded to the scene, all three of them were injured, cops added. They were all taken to area hospitals with non-life threatening injuries.

Witnesses described a hectic scene on the packed Midtown block.

“One person, he has a wrench, a big metal wrench,” Mohammed Chowdhury, who works in a nearby office building said.

“Suddenly on person is on the ground — another person start hitting,” Chowdhury added.

“Two men were on the ground and one was on top, giving advice: ‘hit him! hit him!'”

All three of the men were arrested. Charges against them are pending Monday night.
