A vandal painted a swastika inside the Bronx Zoo, police sources said.

A ticket agent made the discovery at around 11:30 a.m. Thursday on Southern Boulevard near Bronx Park South, the sources said.

The 6-by-6-inch hate symbol was scrawled on a pillar near the admissions booth.

There were apparently no operating surveillance cameras.

Maintenance personnel had already removed the graffiti before police arrived, the sources said.
