The operator of one of the city’s iconic newsstands has been given a temporary reprieve from efforts to evict him.

An appeals court granted Jerry Delakas — whose Village stand on Astor Place has appeared in films like “Sex and the City” and countless ads — until at least November before the city can shutter his quarter-century-old business.

Last winter, the city Department of Consumer Affairs learned that Delakas lacked a license, and it has since refused to grant him one.
