Shops and street vendors are cashing in on Pope Francis’ Big Apple visit — as the pontiff’s faithful followers clamor to scoop up souvenirs, from flags to holy-water bottles, commemorating the historic occasion.

Merchandise bearing the pope’s mug is flying off the shelves at stores both religious and secular in advance of his arrival Thursday.

“The bobblehead is the most popular,” said one worker at I Love NY Gifts on Seventh Avenue. “We ran out of them.”

The shop is also carrying fake $2 bills bearing the bust of His Holiness.

Even Saint Patrick’s Cathedral hasn’t shied away from the Pope Francis bonanza, offering mugs, rosaries, candles, shirts and commemorative medallions that cost anywhere from $5 to $75. A glass bottle for holy water goes for $2.50.

Demand is so high at the historic cathedral, where Francis will be leading an evening prayer on Thursday, that one of the coin machines dispensing doubloons with the pope’s face is already empty.

At select 7-Eleven locations, supporters can scoop up small stuffed dolls in the pontiff’s likeness for $20.

Street vendors are also getting in on the action.

Disabled veteran Willie Baker, 54, has ditched the reading glasses and knit caps he usually sells at the corner of West 32nd Street and Sixth Avenue, replacing them with pope-themed items like $10 T-shirts, $10 hats and $3 rosaries.

“It’s all about the pope,” he told The Post. “I did a trial run last week with hats, and I sold five dozen.”

Rosalita Batista, 52, of Elmhurst, Queens, bought three bright pink pope hats for her and her friends.

“I’m already blessed, and I haven’t seen the pope yet. I’m going to Philadelphia on Sunday,” she said with a big smile on her face.
