A man was shot in the leg in Brooklyn Saturday evening when an armed man attempted to rob him, cops said.

The mugger, who cops say is in his 30s, approached the 37-year-old victim at Greene and Stuyvesant avenues in Bedford-Stuyvesant around 6 p.m., tried to rob him and then shot him in the right leg.

Police do not know whether anything was stolen.

The victim was taken to Woodhull Hospital. He did not suffer life-threatening injuries, authorities said.

Cops later caught up with the suspect and were questioning him at the 81st Precinct station house.
