This drunk driver had a smashing start to the day: driving up onto a Manhattan sidewalk and crashing into scaffolding, which tumbled onto his Toyota, authorities said.

The caught-on-video incident happened around 2 a.m. on West 20th Street between 5th and 6th avenues, making quite a mess. The driver, Einne Bunting, 25, was taken to a local hospital with minor injuries.

He was charged with driving while intoxicated and criminal mischief, police said.
