A shocking video shows an LA man being pistol-whipped and shot in the arm while out shopping with his 2-year-old son, police said.

The half-minute clip, released by the Los Angeles Police Department, shows a bandit wrestle with a man while another jumps in the back seat of the car.

At one point in the video, the victim appears to toss what appears to be a firearm as the robber grapples with him for the piece.

The second bandit then gets out of the car and picks up what looks like a second gun off the sidewalk, the video shows.

The sound of screams can be heard throughout the footage.

The video ends with two robbers jumping back in the car, which then speeds away.
