A Bronx man was seriously injured after being attacked by another man with a sword in a parking lot on Monday, police say.

The 36-year-old man, who works nearby, got into a verbal argument with the suspect near Merritt Avenue and Conner Street in the Bronx around 2 p.m.

The fight escalated when the suspect whipped out a sword and chased the victim across the lot before slashing him in his left arm.

After injuring the victim, the sword-wielding perp fled in an unknown direction and the victim was taken to a local hospital in stable condition, cops say.

Video footage released by police shows part of the chase, as well as the suspect cleaning the sword with a rag.
