A vandal spray-painted “IDOL” across the skirt of a Virgin Mary statue in Elmhurst, Queens, early Friday, police said.

The statue stands outside the Cathedral Preparatory School and Seminary on 92nd Street and was tagged in black paint at about 3 a.m., according to police.

A masked suspect, who appeared to be a young woman, fled on foot.
